Two Food for Thoughts

Two bits of thoughts written at different times in different contexts.

Rebecca MacKinnon's thoughts about Wikinews: "Why do people blog? Because they can advance their agendas or personal interests in some way. There's a reason why blogs aren't objective - especially ones people aren't paid to write."

Dave Winer on the core value of the web: "I certainly value my independence. If I were to become a mouthpiece for someone else, I wouldn't do it, I'd quit."
