Movie Review: Clean

photo from a scene in the movie Clean
Clean. Impressive. Maggie Cheung's was extremely convincing in this movie. It was quite a surprise to see her acted like a British, conversing in fluent English and French througout the movie. Only later did I discover that she went to the U.K. at the age of eight before returning in Hong Kong when she was eighteen. No wonder her English had such a heavy British accent.

Now I am pretty much looking forward to see 2046. Wong Kar Wai said in an interview with Times magazine that the reason why the movie is called 2046 is because that's the last year of the "50 years of no change" the Chinese government promised to Hong Kong. That sounds pretty interesting.
